My Story
I love sewing. I love the creativity, the fabric choices, the patterns, the frustration in working out problems, and the joy when a new project is completed.
I have been sewing since my teens, but never did it to sell until recently. I started with applying patches to varsity jackets for the Glastonbury High School boys’ hockey team, then when covid hit, I made masks to donate. From there, it went to making masks for sale, and soon I had a wonderful group of returning customers.
My biggest accomplishment to date is raising $2,600.00 in October 2020 for the Breast Friends Fund through the sale of a Breast Cancer Awareness mask. This fund was established by an amazing woman, Sandy Cassanelli, and 100% of funds raised go directly to finding a cure for Metastatic Breast Cancer (or Stage IV Breast Cancer), for which there is currently none. As a breast cancer survivor myself, this cause is near to my heart.

Thank you for choosing handmade! Enjoy!
